Founded more than 20 years ago by parents of children with cancer, Camp Goodtimes has become an annual event worth celebrating. Over the years, we have welcomed a variety of children and teens from Washington and Alaska between the ages of seven and 17.

Campers have included cancer survivors, current cancer patients -- some of whom are still undergoing active treatment, and cancer-patient siblings.

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

Participants describe their experience at Camp Goodtimes:

"This trip was so much fun. It helped me to get in touch with my feelings about cancer. This has been one of the most meaningful trips of my life."
